The Summer Dare
Leave it to Nana to think of everything.
After a grueling semester, I’m ready for a peaceful summer in Seaside with my sisters.
Imagine my surprise, when I’m woken by the screeching sound of a saw coming through my wall, the first official morning of break.
Not only did I come flying out of bed swinging, but I gave Ryan, the unsuspecting carpenter the surprise of his life, when I came wielding my killer coat hanger and all.
Too bad, I was only in a tank and undies and it wasn’t nearly as effective as I’d hoped.
Of course, he insists he’s only doing his job. Since it’s Nana’s last request to care for us, I can’t refuse.
However, I won’t let a tall, pesky, sexy as sin, know-it-all get in my way of my summer plans. I pretend I ignore him – that is until my youngest sister pokes her nose in my business and throws down a dare I can’t back down from.
Kiss the next single guy who walks up to the bonfire – or explain to my sisters why I get riled up over the contractor.
When Ryan suddenly appears, I know I’m screwed in more ways than one.
Not only will my sisters learn my secret, but from the determined look on Ryan’s face, I’m afraid he’s eager to reveal it to the world as well.
What have I gotten myself into?
As I walk toward him, one thing is certain – this summer dare will either make or break me.
The Summer Ultimatum
Watching my sister fall in love last summer gave me something I hadn’t expected—hope.
It gave me hope that there might be someone out there for me and hope that I might get past my misguided fears and finally let someone in.
With my help, Ryan’s planning the most epic proposal. I just have to get the know-it-all musician I work with to fall in line to make it work.
Jax is wicked smart, extremely talented, and sexy as sin. But he can’t see the forest for the trees when it comes to his potential. He’d rather keep playing in dive bars along the coast than take a real shot at success.
When the Seaside festival has a music competition, I present Jax with an ultimatum that will either make or break both our careers.
I’ve laid it all on the line, but can he?
The Summer Proposal
My sisters are dropping like flies.
They’re falling in love and having the time of their lives.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m ecstatic for them. I love seeing them happy.
But I’m not ready for that type of commitment.
I can’t even keep a plant alive, let alone find someone worthy of getting past a third date.
As the only sister done with school and single as a pringle, I have to do something fast, or I’ll be my match-making aunt’s next victim.
When Jax’s drummer joins him for the summer and needs some help with his image, I make him a deal he can’t refuse.
All is perfect—until I realize my summer proposal has one minor flaw.
Our relationship may be a sham, but there’s nothing fake about my feelings for Finn.
The Summer Arrangement
One, two, three—it’s all down to me.
As the youngest and only single Lancaster, I’m eager to spend my summer in Seaside, Oregon, with my sisters. It’s something I’ve looked forward to all year, and I’m determined to make every minute count. After all, I’ve only got one year before I graduate from college and have to adult for real.
However, if I want to graduate debt free, I need to work. I have a lead on the perfect summer job with the nanny agency I’ve spent the last three summers catering to.
I just have to win over an adorable three-year-old and convince her single dad I’m the right one for the job.
Simple enough, right?
Except when I show up at his door, I’m shocked to find he’s the guy I hooked up with a few times last semester.
This cannot be happening.
I need this job. There’s too much on the line to walk away.
Maybe we can put the past behind us and make some sort of summer arrangement?
The Summer I Found Home
Being a pilot is all I’ve ever known.
I served my country and I’m damn proud of my career.
But sacrifices were made, especially when it came to family.
I’ve missed first steps, first days of school, and first dates to name a few.
My kids grew up. They’re having families of their own.
Was it worth it?
When an opportunity brings me to Seaside, I jump feet first no questions asked.
It means experiencing all those firsts with my grandkids.
With family as my focus and my guard down, I don’t even see Faye coming.
She’s a force to be reckoned with and has me holding on for dear life.
I thought our ship had sailed, but now that I’m home for good—I just might get more than one second chance.
