Reading or Audio

Books are a huge part of my life. If I’m not writing one, I usually have one I’m reading or listening to. Truth be told, I probably have both going on.  My Kindle and audio app have revolutionized my ability to experience books. I typically drive nearly three hundred miles a week and when I discovered I could listen to audio books (with earbuds) while driving my children to their various places, I was beyond thrilled. I already take my Kindle with me every place I go, so I’m NEVER without a book.

The reason I bring this up, is the other day I had a conversation with someone about how they never have time to read. I’ll admit I had a hard time trying to fathom the idea of not reading at all during the day. Yes, I’m probably one of the crazy small percentage who read each and every day, but it got me thinking.

I asked if they have ever listened to audio books and their response was like a deer in the headlights. Well, me being me, I went on to tell them how amazing audio books were and how they can easily access them as well as how it can completely change their driving experience, as they too spent a great deal of time in the car. Who knows if they will follow through with my suggestion, but it was worth the shot.

My question to you, is what do you prefer? Audio, ebook or traditional books?
