Milestones in the Making

I’ve been hunkering down to finish Resolution: Book Two of my Resilience Duet. Guess What? It finally happened. This week I was able to type two words I have yet to put at the end of a manuscript until now. I’ll admit it feels pretty spectacular.

I got to celebrate for about a day, then it was time dive back in and self-edit. I have to say, I don’t think I have ever appreciated my beta readers more than I do this week. Due to my surgery earlier this month, I was behind and they have helped me stay on track and get my manuscript to editor on time. Cara and Jackie are so freaking amazing. I don’t think I could ask for a better tribe!

As I’m spending time with Samantha and Enzo to put the finishing touches on their story before it goes to the editor, I have to say, I can’t wait for you all to see them. Samantha’s quick wit and lack of filter continued to make me smile. And Enzo… well… let’s just say, I’ve really enjoyed being around him. He’s got a special place in my heart and as I typed “The End” I know I will have a hard time letting him go.

As I’ve been editing plot bunnies have continued for Samantha and Enzo, so there may or may not be a short story for them in the future. It will be up to Sam and Enzo to decide if they want to be vocal or not in the future.

SO WHAT’S NEXT????

I’m happy to say, I’m already working on my next book. In fact, I get to make a road trip to the setting for Making the Call this week. I’m so excited to dig in and explore a whole new world with you.  There will be brand new characters and and entirely new stand-alone story. I’ll be sure to update you with pictures when I return.
